If you wish to become an LPN first, you will have to finish a 1 year practical nursing program and you should also pass the NCLEX-PN that is being given by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. After you have already passed, you can already begin working as a nurse and then you could choose to proceed to your studies so that you could become a registered nurse.



You can also find 3 other ways that you may pick from if you desire to become an RN. You may want to finish a bachelor's degree in nursing or an associate degree in nursing or a vocational nursing program. After you are finished with your program, you are now qualified to take the national licencing exam for RNs which is often called the NCLEX-RN. After you have completed the examination, you may now work as a Registered Nurse.
